Keppel FELS has purchased act/cut, Alma’s nesting solution, for use in conjunction with Intergraph’s SmartMarine® 3D for the engineering processes. act/cut allows fully-automatic, semi-automatic, or even manual nesting for optimum usage of material, which contributes directly to the efficiency and productivity of Keppel FELS.
As part of their alliance program, Intergraph and Alma offer a tight bi-directional integration between act/cut and SmartMarine 3D. This allows traceability of information, enabling users to keep track of specific details, such as which particular parts are nested on which sheet of material.
