Software for the cutting-out of letters and drawings (signs, logos...)
The act/sign software addresses sign makers and all cutting / sheet metal working subcontractors who need to cut out letters, logos, line drawings or to cut / punch images.
act/sign groups the following functionalities:
- the import of images from any TWAIN-compatible input (scanner, digital camera) and via JPG, GIF, TIF, BMP, PNG, PSD, PCX, TGA, WBMP, WMF and EMF formats.
- the digitizing of contours from any ASCII-digitizer.

the transformation of images into contours ready for cutting including optimization functions: luminosity/contrast/threshold/coloring adjustment, lines/angles detection, smoothing, etc.)

the transformation of an image or a photo into a part to be punched.

the drawing and vectorization of text from any TrueType font: the curves are automatically transformed into lines and arcs. It is also possible to arrange spacing, to adjust the text horizontally and vertically within a template, etc.

- DXF or DPR export to Alma’s act/cut CAM software for the programming of cutting / punching machines.
