June 2006: Alma deploys the “2006” version of its act/ software suite

Many new functionalities have been introduced in the different modules which make up the act/ range, in particular in act/cut, the software dedicated to the programming of fluid jet 2D cutting machines, punch presses and routing machines: new and entirely customizable user interface, 2D sketcher to create rapidly parameterized parts, automatic functions to cut frames made up of rectangular holes, automatic positioning of micro-junctions for punching-nibbling, new or improved nesting algorithms for various cutting methods such as automatic common cutting...
Moreover, a powerful module for the automatic nesting of tubes has been implemented in act/tubes, a comprehensive CAD/CAM solution available for all kind of machines cutting tubes which manages all steps of the tubes cutting process (tube modeling and nesting, creation and sequencing of cutting tasks, post-processing).
